Sweet and crispy flautas made with flour tortillas and chocolate chip cookie dough, fried until golden brown, coated in cinnamon sugar, and served with dipping sauces or ice cream.
Get some flour tortillas (mine are about 10 inches in diameter).
Then get 3 pieces of pre-cut chocolate chip cookie dough (or any cookie dough you want) and add it to the center of the tortilla (closer to the bottom). You can always add more or less cookie dough depending on the size of your tortilla!
Then fold in the sides, fold the bottom into a triangle, and roll it up as tightly as possible.
Then seal it with a toothpick.
Fry them in high heat oil that’s been heated to about 330 degrees Fahrenheit until they’re golden brown and let them rest on a paper towel or a cooling rack.
Then mix some cinnamon and sugar on a plate, and fully coat all the Flautas in it.
You can serve them whole, but I like to cut them in half.
Serve these with some chocolate syrup or dulce de leche for dipping. They’re also amazing to serve warm with vanilla ice cream. Enjoy💜
