For the croutons, start out getting some old bread (that has started to harden) and dice it into bite sized cubes. Then in a bowl add: 4 tablespoons of melted butter (that has been cooled to room temperature), 1/4 cup of olive oil, 1 tablespoon of minced garlic, season with: onion powder, cayenne pepper, granulated garlic, Creole seasoning, and black pepper. Whisk this all together until well combined. Then add in 4 cups worth of your cubed bread and stir it all together until it’s coated. Add them to a baking sheet, and then cook in the oven at 375 degrees for 5 minutes. Then take them out, flip them over and cook for another 5 minutes or until they’re crispy.
Then get some boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs. To both sides, add on some olive oil, along with the same seasonings used in the croutons. Then rub it on each piece. If it’s too dry, add more olive oil. Then in a skillet on medium high heat, add some high heat oil. Once it’s heated, add in your chicken. Sear on both sides until it’s blackened. (Everyone will have different sizes of chicken, so if it needs to be cooked more, just finish it off in the oven.) Let the chicken rest, then cut it into slices.
Then, cut up 2 large hearts of romaine. Add it to bowl with the croutons, and your favorite Caesar dressing. Toss it all together and then add in Parmesan cheese. (I’ve realized if a Caesar doesn’t taste like it does at a restaurant, it probably needs more Parmesan.) Then when serving, top it off with the sliced chicken, and some more Parmesan cheese. Enjoy💜
